day 177 Old Maid

We have our own new family tradition of playing cards and games on Sunday nights.
I think it became a tradition after doing it every Sunday for the past couple months.
Tonight we taught Brae how to play SKIP BO and we finished up with Old Maid.
I'm the Old Maid.
Again.

Also today was the Primary Program and Brae did very well. She seems to do fine in front of lots of people and I loved watching her sing her little heart out. I love Primary Music.
I just love Primary.

Day 175 LeAvEs aRe faLLiNg aLL aRoUnd

Our friends have the best back yard.
The girls had a grand time raking all the leaves and then jumping in them, burying themselves and throwing them in the air.
What a great afternoon.

day 174 friends

Really excited to post some pics from my latest session. But it involves friends, a red chair and a chandelier. More to come.

Jeremy went to Mexico for a fishing tournament caught some sharks and durado but on his way back over the border his camera was stolen.
So no pictures unfortunately and bye bye to my Canon Powershot. :(

I'm a Mormon

I love the Killers and had no idea Brandon Flowers was Mormon. Awesome.

day 173 Gorgeous ty

She's gorgeous!
She wasn't sure about her outfit but I love how stylish she is and it was fun to help her pick her outfits. This outfit fit perfectly with the location we went. I love the red and blue. We ran out of light so we have to do her other outfits another day. Seniors are effortless. They love to smile and they are so excited about life.

day 172 my warm up

Had to warm up before I went to take some senior pics. Brae was up for a 2 min. mini shoot. She is so cute! She has lots of ideas for her own photo shoot that we have yet to do. Hopefully soon.

day 171 kiddo pics

What cute little kiddos.
Usually my kid session lasts 30 min. but these guys took 30 min. just to warm up.
This is one of them out of control.
They were so funny.

Which one do you think is older?

day 170 Frog Legs

I was sitting at my computer working on my talk when Braelyn screamed, "There is a frog in the house."
I turned around couldn't see it and then it hopped. Picked it up quickly. Charly thought he was getting frog legs for dinner I guess. I was very surprised that it made it alive inside and that it hadn't got squished.
I don't like speaking in church everytime I think about it I have anxiety and nausea but I'm hoping to feel better after it's done being prepared.

day 169 Playing Dolls

You might wonder why I take pictures of absolutely everything Braelyn does.
Our chances of adopting are very slim but I have one chance to capture every beautiful moment of Brae's life.
So yes I may live with my camera alot. But for a couple of minutes and then  I enjoy the rest of the moment interacting.
I get to do this raising a child once not 3 or 4 times.
And I'm so grateful that I got to do this once with the most loving sweet little girl.

day 168 Surprise

Surprise Farewell Party for Ashley
This is a third of our Young Women that fit into our little house and while I was cooking I had to keep telling them to go sit down. It was a great party to say goodbye to Ashley. If you remember my friend that passed away the end of June her husband got remarried in September and so they moved.
I will miss Ashley and Little Treavor.

day 167

We made our own creepy crawly spider web.
Got the idea from Better Homes and Gardens and it was so fun. Messy but fun.

Can you guess what Brae and I are making?

Day 165 Relax with a cup of moe

I would say a cup of joe but we don't drink coffee in our home but we do enjoy a cup of moe (hot chocolate with a little french vanilla creamer and a few marshmallows).  It was a great day busy but great. I get a little emotional on this day because my Dad passed away 3 years ago on this day and I always think about him extra this week.  But it was also a special day because Braelyn's friend Baylee got baptized. Now Braelyn is really excited about her baptism which is not far away. Braelyn while we were seating listening to the Holy Ghost talk whispers "Mom, I'm really thirsty." My reply was of course you are going to have to wait. But we were driving home from the baptism she says, "Mom, watching Baylee get baptized made me really thirsty." She makes me smile. Not too much longer and it will be Brae's turn to get baptized.

Day 163

Carving Pumpkins for Young Women's Activity is always fun. They all did a great job and no one got hurt. I can never take a great picture in the church. My white balance always seem to be a little off. Oh well it was a fun night.

Day 162 Cloudy Days

All of the sudden it has got cold and cloudy and it feels like we are heading into FALL!
I love fall. It is my favorite season. It seems that life gets busier but I am enjoying it.
Cloudy Days = Chicken Tortilla Soup
YUM!

Day 161

One more that I love.

Justin found a little shovel that Jeremy bought Brae and he just started shoveling away.
Then every once in awhile he would yell to Braelyn to get him some more water.
Brae loves having Justin around. We both wished they lived closer. Wow what fun we could be having all the time. But we really get excited when they come and visit.

I had my shutter to slow and was taking a picture of Justin and I got this picture and I told him it was a ghost that looked just like him :)
Creepy oooOoooOooo

Day 160 Justin's School Picture

Justin's School Picture
It's always a little bit of a challenge to photograph children.  I even occasionally have trouble convincing Brae to stay still for a moment. I've realized posed children are not happy children.

Day 159 Conference Face Painting

Something to do while listening to conference.
They chose their design and we painted away.
Every Mom should own some face paints then when you are at Disneyland and they want to charge you $25 to $35 for a face paint your kids can come to the park already painted.
And you don't have to be a pro for your kids to love it. They are so happy with anything.
